NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Northampton County Sanitary Landfill and the Birdsnest, Bayview, Wardtown, Hare Valley Waste and Cheapside Collection Centers will be closed on Sunday, December 25, 2011 in observance of Christmas Day. They will reopen for normal business on Monday, December 26, 2011.
Please plan your solid waste disposal accordingly.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Northampton County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the Board Chambers of the County Administration Building, 16404 Courthouse Road, Eastville, Virginia, to receive public comment on the following ordinance:
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED,
"AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY AND COLLECT A TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX”
The purpose of the amendment is to clarify funding allocations for Transient Occupancy Tax revenues.
This proposed ordinance is available for review at the County Administrator's office, Eastville, Virginia, during normal business hours. Anyone interested in the above matter should attend the public hearing to express their views.
