Parks & Recreation Department

The Northampton County Parks and Recreation Department operates Indiantown Park, located east of Eastville on Rt. T631, Indiantown Road. Indiantown Park is the only public park in Northampton County; this 52 acre park is equipped with picnic shelters, lighted softball field, playground, a 36 hole disc golf course soccer field and a recreation center.
Northampton County Parks and Rec. offers a variety of programs for all ages. Programs that are offered are summer camp, youth basketball, coed volleyball, adult softball, coed softball, adult basketball, disc golf, teen dances and much more. Indiantown Park is frequently used by the community for family picnics, family reunions, church functions and weddings.
Each of the Parks and Rec. activities continue to grow every year. These family oriented activities bring our small community closer together in the spirit of fun and sportsmanship. With continued support we plan to grow and provide more activities for all of the Northampton County community.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee

The Recreation Advisory is the policy governing board for the Department Of Recreation. They meet on the first Wednesday of every month at 4:00pm at Indiantown Park facility. If you are interested in speaking to or joining the Recreation Board, please contact 757-678-0468.

NEWS:

Northampton County Adult Basketball

Northampton County Parks and Recreation will begin men’s and women's basketball leagues Saturday June 15th, at Northampton Middle school. Games will be played Saturday afternoons for ages 16 and up. Teams may have up to 15 players; team registration is $300.00 and is due no later than Monday June 10th at 4pm. For coach's packets or more information about either program please call 678-0468.

Soccer Camp

This summer, Northampton County Parks and Recreation has teamed up with Challenger Sports and the British Soccer camp will be held August 5-9, 2013 at Indiantown Park in Eastville.

Homecoming Pow Wow

'Coming full Circle' featuring the Accohannock Tribe. Memorial Day weekend (May 25-26) 10am - 5pm rain or shine! Bring lawnchair, blankets, and shade umbrellas. Suggested donation is $4.00 per person.

Line Dancing!

Northampton County Parks and Recreation is offering line dancing classes at Indiantown Park every Wednesday night at 7pm. Classes are going on now, donations of $5.00 per person at the door are appreciated, all ages welcome. Come out and join the fun on the dance floor.
