Team 1908, Shorebots of Northampton County honored for 20 years of providing STEM opportunities to our youth.

The Board of Supervisors congratulated Team 1908, the Shorebots of Northampton High School, on their 20th Anniversary of providing STEM opportunities to the youth of Northampton County and passed a resolution honoring the team at the May 13, 2025 Board meeting.
The Shorebots were established in 2005 and are part of FIRST, an international organization promoting STEM, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The Shorebots have provided countless opportunities for Northampton County youth to engage in designing, building, and programming robots, fostering technical and life skills like teamwork and leadership. The team has represented the county with distinction at various FIRST Robotics Competition events, earning numerous awards, and has actively contributed to the community through outreach, mentoring, and promoting STEM education.
The Board of Supervisors of Northampton County recognized the significant contributions of Team 1908, the Shorebots, to the intellectual and personal development of its students, and their positive impact on the community.
The Northampton County Board of Supervisors expressed its sincere gratitude to the students, mentors, teachers, parents, and sponsors who have supported Team 1908 over the years and contributed to its success.
