Our office is much more than a place where payments are processed. We are the local team members who answer your questions, review your accounts, assist with payment concerns, maintain records, bump into you at the grocery store, and work each day to ensure your county services are accessible and understandable.

NEW DRIVE UP DROP BOX
For our first update, the Northampton County Treasurer’s Office is pleased to announce the installation of a new drive-up payment drop box, available for taxpayer use during our busiest seasons.
The drop box provides a convenient option for submitting tax payments without entering the Administrative building nor Treasury. While the box is open for use, it will be checked each business day by Treasurer’s Office staff.
Please remember: NO CASH PAYMENTS may be placed in the drop box under any circumstances.
For security, please submit only check or money order payments and include sufficient identifying information so the payment can be properly applied to your account.
We are proud to offer another secure, convenient, and accessible payment option for Northampton County taxpayers during our busiest season.

PAY ONLINE WITH E-CHECK
Looking for a NEW & convenient way to make your tax payment without mailing a check or visiting the Treasurer’s Office? E-check (ACH) payments are now available online for a flat fee of only $1.50 per transaction.
To make your payment, please have the following information ready:
• Your bank routing number
• Your bank account number
• The amount owed to Northampton County
• Your County account number
This information is printed on the tax bills and/or statements you receive from our office.

As bills begin arriving this fall, we encourage Northampton County taxpayers to take a few minutes to review their bill and make payment early whenever possible.
Waiting until the last minute can create unnecessary stress—especially during our busiest time of year. Paying early gives you time to address questions about your account, correct any payment or banking issues, and make sure your payment is successfully completed before the deadline.

What Happens After Your Bill Arrives?
1. OCTOBER
TAX BILLS ARRIVE
Review you bill, confirm your account information, and contact the County promptly if something looks incorrect.
2. OCTOBER-NOVEMBER
BEST TIME TO PAY
Paying early gives you time to resolve questions, mailing delays, or payment issues before peak season.
3. LATE FALL
PEAK SEASON
As the due date approaches, office traffic, phone calls, mail volume and online payment activity increase.
4. DECEMBER
PAYMENT DUE
Payments must be completed by the due date shown on your bill to avoid penalty and interest.
WHY PAY EARLY?
Waiting until the deadline leaves little time to correct a returned payment, banking issue, mailing delay or question about your account.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Pay online, by mail, in person, or by approved drop box options listed by the Treasurer's office.
